A native of Pennsylvania coal-country, Gina relocated to Chicago after graduating from Notre Dame Law School in 2004. She has worked with Moises Hernandez, Esq, LLC since 2009.
She has won waivers for clients seeking admission to the United States, but who are barred due to criminal history or past unlawful presence in the United States. She has won Cancellation of Removal for legal permanent residents in removal proceedings as a result of their criminal histories. She has also represented clients in routine family immigration matters.
Prior to joining Moises Hernandez, Esq, LLC, Gina spent 2½ years working for a small firm in Chicago, handling primarily domestic relations and civil litigation matters. She represented clients in Cook and the surrounding counties, appearing in state and federal court, before the Illinois Human Rights Commission, the Illinois Secretary of State and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Gina attended the University of Notre Dame Law School, where she participated in the Immigration and Asylum Legal Aid Clinic, providing pro bono legal services. She filed several asylum petitions of behalf of her clients, and represented them at asylum interviews and trial. She also handled routine applications and petitions for family immigration and naturalization.
Gina enjoys acting, singing, and dancing. You can see her perform regularly in the Chicago Bar Association’s annual Bar Show.
